Sentences with gaps

In each sentence there is one (or more) word missing. Read the sentence carefully, try and understand it. Which word makes sense and can be used in this context? If you do not know the word, check the answer and memorise it. Return to it later and revise.

In the following examples you are guessing the correct collocation or looking for the right prepositions.
